Carl is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of building and scaling multiple venture-backed startups, investing in companies now worth billions, and leading teams to successful exits. He brings deep experience in technology, operations, and product to WrenchDesk.

In the summer of 2025, I got very excited about building for small businesses in the U.S. I felt like small businesses were getting left behind by this wave of AI technology—but in fact, they're the exact people it could help the most.
I'm an entrepreneur myself, and I love building for other entrepreneurs. So I did something a bit unconventional: I went around my area delivering donuts to local businesses. I visited restaurants, property managers, auto shops, and more—just to learn about their problems.
I fell in love with this idea of building for auto mechanics. These were people like me who understood their craft deeply but might not have the engineering skills to implement software solutions themselves. I built out the initial product over the summer, then mistakenly took a full-time job which was a distraction from building this product.
It wasn't until my own car got hit and I had actual collision damage that I really saw the pain point from the end customer perspective. The lack of communication, the uncertainty, the frustration—I experienced it all firsthand.
That's when I decided to double down and build for collision and body shops specifically. I realized how powerful AI could be—not only for shop management, but also for customers and diagnostics. WrenchDesk was born from that moment.
